Heritage Open Day

20 September 2026

Venue: Bagthorpe Gardens. Entry via the big gates at the end of Aubrey Road

Time: 12 noon to 4pm    Free Entry

Our annual open day and fundraiser. Visitors are invited to walk around the allotments on self-guided walks and chat to the plot-holders. There will also be guided tours with an emphasis on the history of Bagthorpe Gardens. See the newly restored wooden telegraph pole building now housing our museum of finds from around the Gardens.

Relax at the end of your tour on the Community Garden, with plant and produce stalls, a bookstall, a refreshment and cake stall.

Please note that the garden tours include uneven paths. There is one composting toilet (non-flushing) on the Community Garden with 4 steps to the entrance.
