First Aid and Emergencies
- If you are going to be working on your own, make sure that someone knows where you are.
- In the heat, drink plenty of water, pace your work, wear a hat and sunscreen.
- Have your mobile phone with you to call someone if you feel unwell.
- Know which is your nearest exit from the site
If you need to phone for an ambulance, direct them to the following gates using What3Words. Clicking on each of the 3 Word sequences below will bring up a map showing you the location.
- Haydn Road West Avenue gate down on the road: ///animal.carry.button
- Haydn Road East Avenue gate down on the road: ///fixed.gentle.icons
- Ravensmoor Road East Avenue gate: ///elbow.lime.kicks
- The big Community Garden gates on Aubrey Road (make sure someone is around to open them): ///silver.orders.guides
- The top end West Avenue gate is also close to the Community Garden gates. Exit from here and wait by the big green gates: ///silver.orders.guides
The First Aid kit (green bag) is kept in the toilet block on the Community Garden. Please send a message to bagthorpe.gardeners@gmail.com if you have used any of the contents so we can restock it.
The nearest defibrillator for any part of Bagthorpe Gardens is outside the entrance of the Hartley Business Centre at the junction of Hucknall Road and Haydn Road.
